Coming home from travel abroad
So then, you’ve planned an awesome trip and travelled the length of the world. You’ve interacted with people, that in other circumstances, you may never have met. Now you’re coming home and, what will you do?
For many people, it seems as though there’s a huge difference between their life before the final flight home and the reliable old one they are faced with when they get back. You will have spent such a long time planning your trip and living it out, and all of a sudden you stop, it’s over.
Don’t despair, despite how glum you might be feeling, think of all the great times you had whilst you were away, and look to the future. Were you only ever planning to go on one trip in your lifetime?
Now that you’ve come home from travel
Keep yourself entertained
If you sit around wishing you were surfing in Bali, trekking across Borneo or eating street food in China, then you’re only going to get more depressed. Get back to work, immerse yourself in your hobbies and get some exercise. Think about it, by getting straight back to work, you’ll be earning money towards your next travel experience.
Write travel articles and create a blog
The experience you gained and relationships you built can still be put to very good use when you get home. Write a travel blog or publish a travel article and help other people to benefit from your experience and opinions. These are the people who really want to hear about where you have been and what you got up to. Let’s face it, friends will ask what happened whilst you were away but, it’s a sad fact, your rambling will cause their eyes to glaze over.
